SBAE's Aquaculture Offering

SBAE developed different solutions for the hatchery stage of the aquaculture market. This stage is critical and the right nutrition is extremely important for a number of different fish species. Nutrition has a direct impact on survival and quality of the end product.

Two Product ranges: Hatchmax monoculture and GreenStim blends

Hatchmax products are pure, single algae species. These products are used by aquaculture players for very specific uses. Hatchmax algae are produced by the AlgaForce technology of SBAE. The algae species produced under the Hatchmax brands are Isochrysis, Tetraselmis, Phaeodactylum and Nannochloropsis.

Green Stim products are high quality feed recipes specifically designed for greenwater technique and rotifer feed. Green Stim products are a balanced mix of different algae species. The added value of SBAE lies in the production of these algae and in the composition of adequate formulas (recipes) for the different applications.

Unique Production process: cell integrity guaranteed

SBAE also developed unique algae processing expertise. A combination of dewatering (centrifuge) and drying (freeze-dry) of the algae results in cell integrity of the end product. This means that the properties of the algae are preserved and the resulting products have an extremely long shelf life. This solves a supply chain issue of the hatcheries.
